Juno, an acclaimed Japanese restaurant located in Lincoln Park, is seeking an experienced service captain to join our team. We are lucky to experience very low turnover on our front service team and bring a new server on board once every couple of years. We are searching for a true professional with a passion for great cuisine and service and offer the ability to work with fine products in a consistent, established environment with long-term stability. This position is for 5 nights per week: Wednesday-Sunday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Works well with our entire team to ensure a smooth service
- Be hospitable to all guests and engage in genuine and personable conversation
- Listens attentively
- Be knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu and be able to answer any questions from our guests
- Positive attitude and reliable
- Flexible and works well in a constantly changing environment
- Full knowledge of our menu to design an exceptional guest experience
- Follows up with guests by asking about their meal to ensure guest satisfaction

Requirements:
* 5 years of serving experience
* Experience with Japanese cuisine required
* Ability to complete various duties assigned with a high level of attention to detail
* Maintain a professional demeanor and effective, respectful communication with staff and management
* Provide courteous and detailed service to all clientele
* Must be punctual, reliable, motivated to learn, team-oriented and solution-oriented
* Knowledgeable in wine, spirits, and sake
* Certificates: Food Manager's, Food Allergen, and Bassett & Sexual Harassment training required.
